Terms of service

These are our general terms and conditions. These, together with the references contained on this page, apply to every quote and agreement that we, Studio Tapiz v.o.f. (with Chamber of Commerce number: 97186023), conclude with you. Should you have any questions about this, please feel free to contact us via info@studiotapiz.nl.

We have the right to change these general terms and conditions. With a purchase, you agree that the latest version of these general terms and conditions will always apply to our agreement.

Article 1 - Products

1.1 Product range We sell walk-off mats, entrance mats, door mats and related products through our webshop at www.studiotapiz.nl.

1.2 Product information All images, specifications and other data about the products are indicative. Studio Tapiz v.o.f. cannot guarantee that the displayed colors exactly match the actual colors of the products.

1.3 Custom work All products are custom-made and may therefore differ. We are not responsible for any inaccuracies on our website regarding designs, photos and other information about a product.

1.4 Quotes All quotes from Studio Tapiz v.o.f. are non-binding and not binding in case of inaccuracies. An offer consists of a description of a product and services.

1.5 Completing order The order is completed when we have received full payment.

Article 2 – Orders

2.1 Data provision When you place an order through the webshop, you must fill in your details (name and address). You are responsible for the accuracy of this data.

2.2 Confirmation After you have placed an order, Studio Tapiz v.o.f. sends a confirmation by email. This may also end up in your spam folder.

2.3 Changes Studio Tapiz v.o.f. may refuse a request to change a product if this could have qualitative or quantitative consequences for the work (such as changing a custom-made product).

Article 3 - Payments

3.1 Prices The price of the products is indicated including VAT in our webshop.

3.2 Payment methods You can pay in our webshop with the offered payment methods, including iDEAL, PayPal, Apple Pay and credit card.

3.3 Payment obligation The consumer enters into a payment obligation with the online ordering process when they agree to the order.

Article 4 - Deliveries

4.1 Delivery The product is delivered via our logistics partners. We deliver the product to the address specified with the order. You cannot change the address once the order has gone into production.

4.2 Transport liability Studio Tapiz v.o.f. is not liable for damage due to transport from the first door/first entrance.

4.3 Presence during delivery The buyer must be present during delivery. If delivery has failed, we recommend contacting the delivery service.

4.4 Delivery times Delivery may take place outside the given time indication due to traffic conditions or other unexpected developments.

4.5 Transport complaints If you are not satisfied with the way the products have been transported, you can contact the logistics partner or report the complaint to info@studiotapiz.nl.

4.6 Delivery periods The delivery times in the order confirmation are indicative. We do our best to deliver the order quickly. If the order is delayed, you can contact us via info@studiotapiz.nl. We guarantee that the order will be received no later than 10 weeks after confirmation of the order. If this unfortunately does not succeed, you can request us to immediately refund the amount paid for the product and cancel the order.

4.7 Delivery restrictions We cannot ship products to P.O. boxes.

4.8 Transport damage Visible damage to goods must be reported immediately to the delivery service when receiving the package. Hidden transport damage must be reported to the delivery service as soon as it is discovered.

Article 5 - Delivery Date Changes You can coordinate a change in delivery date via the tracking code you receive from us. We can also try to help you if you email immediately after ordering via info@studiotapiz.nl.

Article 6 - Returns

6.1 General The possibility of return does not apply to custom-made products as described in section 2.

6.2 Custom work excluded Products that are custom-made based on specifications (such as desired size and design) cannot be returned. This includes our entire range of entrance mats, walk-off mats, door mats and related products that we have specially developed per order.

Article 7 – Warranties

7.1 Quality guarantee Studio Tapiz v.o.f. guarantees that all walk-off mats meet the applicable quality standards and specifications as stated in the product description. We stand for the craftsmanship and quality of our products.

7.2 Warranty period

  • 24 months warranty on material and manufacturing defects
  • 12 months warranty on normal wear when used correctly according to specifications
  • Warranty period starts from date of delivery

7.3 Warranty conditions The warranty only applies if:

  • All usage and maintenance instructions have been correctly followed
  • The product has been used in accordance with the specified specifications
  • Proof of purchase can be provided
  • Defects have been reported within 14 days of discovery

7.4 Excluded from warranty

  • Damage due to incorrect use, neglect or normal wear
  • Defects caused by external factors beyond our control (extreme weather conditions, chemical substances, mechanical damage)
  • Products that have been repaired by third parties without our permission
  • Aesthetic aspects such as discoloration due to prolonged exposure to sunlight

7.5 Handling warranty claims For valid warranty claims, the product will be repaired or replaced free of charge at our choice. Transport costs are at our expense.

Article 8 – Retention of title Ownership of the product takes effect after the entire amount has been paid.

Article 9 - Liability

9.1 Product information We are not liable for incorrect product information on the website or deviations in color based on the images.

9.2 Product use We are also not liable for damage caused by use of the product. The right to compensation will in any case never be higher than the amount of the ordered and paid product.

9.3 Use abroad When using the product outside the Netherlands, you must verify yourself whether the products are suitable for use in the relevant country and whether the products meet the conditions and (legal) requirements imposed on them.

Article 10 - Intellectual property rights All intellectual property rights (such as: copyrights, image marks, word marks) on our texts, photos, images and other materials are our property (or we manage them with permission from the rights holder). No one may infringe on this.

Article 11 – Force majeure

11.1 Suspension of obligations Studio Tapiz v.o.f. does not have to fulfill its obligations if there is force majeure. Studio Tapiz v.o.f. can suspend the obligations from the agreement during the period that the force majeure continues.

11.2 Dissolution in case of prolonged force majeure If this period lasts longer than 3 months, both parties may dissolve the assignment without being obliged to pay compensation.

Article 12 - Complaints procedure

12.1 Filing a complaint If you have a complaint about the execution of the agreement, we would like to hear about it. Please send your complaint as quickly as possible (and described as completely as possible) to info@studiotapiz.nl.

12.2 Handling We will handle your complaint as quickly as possible, at the latest within five working days after we have received the complaint. If it takes longer to settle the complaint, you will receive confirmation of the complaint within five days and we will let you know when we expect a substantive response.

12.3 Disputes If we cannot resolve the complaint together, a dispute arises that falls under the dispute resolution procedure.

12.4 Defective products If it is established that an item is defective and this has been reported in time, Studio Tapiz v.o.f. will replace, repair or compensate the defective item within a reasonable time after written notification of the defect by you.

12.5 Time limit for complaints If you report a complaint later than 2 months after delivery, you are no longer entitled to repair, replacement or compensation.

Article 13 - Dispute resolution Dutch law applies to these general terms and conditions and the agreements we conclude with you, excluding the Vienna Sales Convention. In case of a dispute, the court in The Hague has jurisdiction.

Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and personal sphere, but sometimes we need personal data from you. In this statement you can read which data we use and how we store, protect and process this data. This privacy policy applies to our website www.studiotapiz.nl (the "Website") and the services we offer (the "Services"). We process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (the "Relevant Legislation").

Younger than 16 years If you are younger than 16 years, you need permission from your parents or legal guardian to use our Website and Services.

Personal data To be able to offer our Website and Services, we process personal data. The term "personal data" means information that can identify you as a person. This definition is in accordance with the Relevant Legislation.

Your consent We can store your data at various times, such as when you visit our Website, create an account on our Website, use our Services or when you contact us. We may process your data because we ask for your consent through this privacy policy. In addition, we need your data to execute the agreement between you and us. If you choose not to share your data, we cannot provide our services to you. Furthermore, we will not process personal data without your consent, unless we are legally obliged to do so.

What data do we collect and what do we do with it? To use our Website and Services we need the following data from you:

  • Your place of residence
  • Your telephone number

We also collect some information from you that is not personal when you use our Website, such as:

Login On your account we store the following data: passwords and username. This way you don't have to enter this data again. We also keep - for the convenience of your own account - the data of previous orders.

Social media If you use social media functions on our site, it is possible that the social media provider sends us information (according to its policy). This may include your name, profile picture, gender, friends lists and other information you have made available. Don't want this? Then change the privacy settings on your social media account.

If you indicate that you like an article, that article will appear on your social media account if you are logged in. When you end up on a web page that uses social media plugins, your browser sends certain information to the provider of your social media account. We have no control over this data exchange.

Competitions If you participate in an action or competition, we ask the following data from you: email address, date of birth, place of birth, place of residence and telephone number. This way we can execute the action and announce the prize winner(s). We also measure the response to our advertising campaigns this way.

Newsletter Studio Tapiz does not yet offer newsletters, but does store email addresses. To be sure of your consent, we use the opt-in system for newsletters. Future communication through this channel will include an unsubscribe option.

Orders For your order we need your name, email address, address(es) and payment details. We will register, store and process your data for proper handling of the order. In addition, this data can be used for any later warranty. When processing your order, we provide our manufacturer with necessary personal data for delivery.

We will only use your data for the above purposes, or for a purpose closely related to this. Your data is therefore never used by us in an unexpected way.

Security We do everything we can to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, use, modification or distribution of your personal data by unauthorized persons. This way, those who have nothing to do with your data cannot access it.

Retention period We will not keep your personal data longer than we need it for the purposes we described earlier.

Cookies A cookie is a small text file that is sent from a website's server to the browser. The browser then stores the file on your device. Your device gets a unique number, which allows our site to recognize the device later.
